772

Fall 2008  |  San Avenida, Puerto Rico

The site of 772 was the former home of our visiting professor at the time.  It is a private residence located on 722 Avenida San Patricia in Puerto Rico.  The project's program was to consist of a few tenants on street level with a high-end residence on the upper floors.  The overarching goal was to create a simple, but highly crafted living space with supporting businesses that fit within the current context while maintaining a progressive aesthetic.

My solution was to try and revitalize the area by offering functions that are in use at various times, creating activity throughout the day, as well as excite the community about new development.  In addition, designing a place that someone would call home is very engaging and allows one the opportunity to reach the client on a deeper, more personal level.
